A Seamless Island Celebration with a Traditional Twist

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Sarina & Alex who brought their vision of a traditional Italian wedding to the shores of Hamilton Island—and it was nothing short of spectacular.

From the beginning, our focus was on creating a smooth and supportive planning experience. The couple shared how much they appreciated “the design planner being very attentive to emails” and how helpful they found “the photos on the website of all the inventory” and “past photos on the website and Instagram page of how the items came together overall.” These visual tools helped bring their dream to life before they even arrived.

One of the most rewarding things to hear was: “I didn’t expect a holiday destination to be so organised and attentive to emails. This is something many people struggle with when having a destination wedding. However, I felt like I was dealing with Melbourne quality vendors on an island—and it was fantastic!”

Sarina & Alex selected the Beach Pavilion as their venue, noting it was “large enough to fit all our guests,” and they loved “that it had the grass lawn on the front for our cocktail hour before people entered the reception centre.” The proximity to guest accommodations and the “stunning and unbeatable” views made it the ideal location.

Their wedding style was a perfect blend of tradition and tropical elegance. As they put it: “We wanted to have a traditional Italian wedding on a beach/island. It was exactly that. The perfect mix of tradition, luxury, and relaxation. It was something different that our guests always talk about often.”  When asked if there was anything they would have done differently, their response was simple: “Nothing at all! It was perfect!”

They also reflected with joy that “there were absolutely no regrets on anything we spent money on,” which is exactly what we aim for—confidence and satisfaction from start to finish.
